Welcome to the Workpays Roundup!

(From right to left) Workpays' Managing Director, Anne Wright, Richard Keene, New Arrivals Alliance Manager at Community Action Derby, and Lindsay Hodgkinson, event organiser and Engagement Broker at Workpays.

The past month has brought positive change and new opportunities across Workpays — with fresh momentum driving us forward.

From the exciting development plans for our Derby Green centre to continued investment in WP Connected, our online learning platform, we’re building on strong foundations to reach even more learners and partners. July also marked the end of the national Apprenticeship Support and Knowledge (ASK) programme. While we’re sad to see it close, we’re incredibly proud of the team’s work supporting schools and colleges to champion apprenticeships.

Thank you to all our partners for your continued collaboration and commitment. We’re excited for what’s to come.

CONTRACT SPOTLIGHT

Path 2 Apprenticeships — Building Careers with Purpose

Funded by the West Midlands Combined Authority, the Path 2 Apprenticeships (P2A) programme supports young adults aged 19–29 across Coventry and the Black Country. It bridges the gap between ambition and opportunity — preparing individuals with tailored training in green, digital, and essential workplace skills, all while co-designing roles with employers that pay at least the National Living Wage.

From boosting learner confidence to meeting employer needs, P2A creates a meaningful route into long-term employment.

“I didn’t think I had a future, but Path 2 Apprenticeships gave me confidence and helped me find a career I couldn't be more happy with.”

— Sam, Workpays Learner

Employers gain access to a pipeline of motivated talent, and learners receive guaranteed interviews — a win-win for future workforce development.
