Skills Bootcamp in Green Skills
Delivered in partnership with Leicester City Council, the Skills Bootcamp in Green Skills is a fully funded four-week course designed to help qualified electricians enhance their skills and move into work within the renewable energy sector.
You’ll gain two Level 3 qualifications — in Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Systems and EV Charge Point Installation — plus a Safe Isolation CPD unit. The course combines hands-on practical training at our Workpays Leicester Centre with flexible online learning, giving you the confidence and experience employers are looking for.
On completion, all learners are guaranteed an interview with a local employer, helping you turn your new skills into real job opportunities.

Funding & Eligibility
This Skills Bootcamp is completely free for unemployed learners and funded by Leicester City Council as part of the Government’s Skills for Life initiative.
Applicants must:
✔️ Be 19 or over (on or before 31 August 2025)
✔️ Have the right to work in the UK and meet residency requirements
✔️ Live in Leicester or Leicestershire
✔️ Already hold a Level 3 electrical qualification
