As the newest member of the Workpays leadership team, I’m energised by the clear purpose and shared values that shape everything we do. The value “we are one team” truly reflects how we collaborate — across locations, programmes, and partners — to support learners, participants, and employers in meaningful ways.

By listening to our stakeholders and adapting how we work, we continue to create more joined-up, holistic pathways into learning and employment. Whether it’s through community partnerships or contract delivery, our impact is always greater when we work together.

As Helen Keller put it: “Alone we can do so little. Together we can do so much.” I’m proud to join you in creating positive change across the communities we serve.

Restart Scheme — Powered by People

Delivered in partnership with Serco and Jobs22, the Restart Scheme connects employers with job-ready, motivated individuals — trained and supported by Workpays. We work closely with local Jobcentres to ensure our candidates are equipped with the confidence, skills, and experience needed to thrive in your workplace.

With zero cost to employers, Restart offers a fully supported, hassle-free recruitment solution — including work trials, in-role training, and in-work support to help individuals succeed long term.

"Workpays made the recruitment process easy and seamless. The candidates were well-prepared and motivated, thanks to the training and support they received."

GOOD NEWS STORY

Coming Together for Community Impact

On 14th April, Workpays hosted a Connect & Collaborate event at our Derby centre, bringing together support services to strengthen pathways for refugees and asylum seekers. Organisations including the British Red Cross, Serco, and Community Action Derby joined forces to meet learners, share insights, and explore how we can work better together.

The event showcased the real power of collaboration — building stronger, more connected support networks for those who need it most.

UPCOMING EVENTS & AWARENESS DAYS

Coffee Morning Drop-In ☕

This month, we’re proud to be partnering with Derbyshire All Age Carers Support Service (DAACSS) and South Derbyshire CVS to host a Coffee Morning Drop-In. The session will offer individuals support with training, employment, mental health, and wellbeing. It’s a great chance to connect informally, access guidance, and explore local opportunities — all over a warm brew.

May also brings a number of important awareness days including:

  • Mental Health Awareness Week  (12-18th May)😟

  • Learning at Work Week (12-18th May) 💼

  • National Numeracy Day (21st May) 🌍

We encourage our stakeholders to join us in recognising these important moments and to explore others via our 2025 Awareness Days Calendar.

If you're looking to collaborate or want to learn more about how we can support your organisation, we'd love to hear from you.
