Overview

This is a great opportunity to join a supportive care home team and develop your skills in a role that directly contributes to the comfort and wellbeing of residents. As an Apprentice Housekeeping Assistant at Restful Homes Group, you will help to maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment across the home, playing an essential part in the overall quality of care and hotel services delivered to residents.


You will work as part of a dedicated housekeeping team, building practical skills and knowledge that can support a long-term career in facilities, hospitality or care home management.

Duties

  • Help to maintain a homely, clean and pleasant environment for residents and colleagues throughout the home

  • Plan and carry out a comprehensive cleaning schedule to ensure all areas, furnishings and equipment are clean and well-presented at all times

  • Assist with the induction and orientation of new housekeeping team members

  • Ensure all cleaning equipment is used, maintained and stored safely

  • Report any defects, faults or maintenance requirements relating to cleaning equipment or furnishings

  • Use and store cleaning products in full accordance with COSHH regulations

  • Carry out stock takes and assist with ordering cleaning consumables

  • Ensure all equipment and machinery are kept in good working order and report faults immediately

Salary:

National Living Wage, dependent on age
