You must be aged 19–29, living in the Black Country or Coventry area, claiming Universal Credit, and not in full-time employment or education.
Overview
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable people. As a Care Worker at 5 Care Services Ltd, you will provide person-centred care in accordance with best practice and legislative requirements, helping service users maintain their skills, independence and personal interests while delivering compassionate support tailored to their individual needs.
You will work alongside a dedicated care team to maintain high standards of care, support service users through daily living activities, and ensure that every individual receives safe, dignified and compassionate support. Your role is essential to the wellbeing and quality of life for the people we serve.
Duties
Provide care and assistance to service users across all areas of daily living, including bathing, eating, dressing, grooming and using the bathroom
Support and enable service users to maintain their skills and personal interests in line with their care plans
Maintain comprehensive care records and care plans in accordance with service policies and legislative requirements
Communicate effectively with service users, their families, colleagues and management to report needs, changes and concerns
Build and maintain positive relationships with service users, establishing personal connections and demonstrating genuine interest in their lives
Adapt to and address situations quickly, remaining calm in difficult circumstances and providing consistent, dignified support
Implement and assess approaches to promote health and wellbeing, recognising and reporting situations where protection or additional support may be needed
Work cooperatively with the multidisciplinary team to maximise opportunities and support for service users
Undertake statutory training and any additional training as directed by management to maintain and progress your knowledge
Understand and follow all policies and procedures relevant to the role, including confidentiality, safeguarding and person-centred care principles
