You must be aged 19–29, living in the Black Country or Coventry area, claiming Universal Credit, and not in full-time employment or education.
Overview
This is an excellent opportunity to start your career in business administration within a busy, people-focused care home environment. As an Apprentice Administrator at Restful Homes Group, you will provide essential support to the Home Manager, staff and residents, helping to ensure the smooth and efficient day-to-day running of the home.
You will gain hands-on experience across a wide range of administrative, financial and operational functions, building a strong foundation for a long-term career in business administration or care home management.
Duties
Manage the day-to-day administration of the care home, maintaining organised and accurate administrative systems
Liaise with key staff across departments to ensure procedures operate effectively and within agreed timescales
Process weekly payroll hours and monitor staff sickness, absence and holiday records to meet monthly payroll deadlines
Manage petty cash and maintain monthly reconciliations submitted to RHG head office
Maintain the purchase ledger by ensuring all invoices are forwarded to head office promptly
Manage stationery stock and ensure adequate supplies are maintained
Complete invoicing within monthly deadlines and chase outstanding fees from local authorities, clinical commissioning groups and individual residents
Manage the distribution of residents' personal allowances, maintaining accurate records and receipts
Report all admissions and discharges to RHG head office
Deal with enquiries from new and existing customers and provide information about Restful Homes Group
Support the delivery of advice and guidance to clients and staff to maintain high service standards
Undertake training and development activities as required by the department manager
Adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures, including accident reporting and fire procedures

National Living Wage, dependent on age
